Each year, Darling Homes strives to lend a helping hand to those in need. This year was no different as the Texas homebuilder took on several projects to raise money for local Dallas organizations including the Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, the Frisco Education Foundation and Frisco Family Services.
“We take pride in our involvement within the Dallas community and aim to make a difference with charitable donations to great organizations like these,” said Shawn Cate, vice president of sales and marketing for Darling Homes’ Dallas division.
The fourth annual Lemon Aid Stand and Bake Sale at Newman Village took place in October benefitting the Children’s Medical Center’s “Change for Children” program. The proceeds of the sale helped fund medical treatment and birthday celebrations for sick children.
The Children’s Medical Center provides world-class care to more than 200,000 children every day. Donations to Children’s Medical Center contribute to advancements in clinical research, on-site schooling for patients, care for children with serious conditions, and much more. “It’s a Wonderful Life” at Newman Village was an enchanting evening filled with holiday fun benefitting the Frisco Education Foundation, which helps fund scholarship opportunities for Frisco Independent School District students. The holiday experience at Newman Village included horse-drawn carriage rides, an ice-skating rink, train rides and a special visit from Santa Claus for photos.
The Frisco Education Foundation provides financial resources to maximize student potential in the Frisco Independent School District through educational programs, student scholarships and grants for FISD educators. Darling Homes is also honored to be a part of the 2014 Frisco Family Services Holiday Program, benefitting more than 300 families in crisis. The homebuilder’s Dallas team sponsors a child by picking an Angel ornament from the Corporate Office Christmas Tree and shopping for the gifts on the child’s wish list. Darling Homes also provided critical food and household items for the Frisco Family Services Food Pantry this holiday season.
Frisco Family Services helps members of the community who are facing hunger, homelessness and other urgent needs in order to improve their quality of life and achieve self-sufficiency. To donate to Frisco Family Services please visit http://friscofamilyservices.org/.
